Getting started

How do I get in?

Start the DailySelfie app in your Chaturbate room from the apps directory. It creates your web panel automatically and sends you a private link in your chatroom notices. No key to copy, no sign-up.

Is DailySelfie free?

Yes. No fees, no in-app purchases, no token cut, no premium tier. What you see is what you get.

Do I need to create an account?

No, we don't use accounts. Your web panel has a unique URL with a string of characters and numbers that functions as your username and password. Never share that link.

In what order should I set things up?

• Open Chaturbate, go to “broadcast” and start DailySelfie from the apps tab.
• The app sends you a private link to your panel in the chat. Click it.
• Upload your selfies to your panel, place them on the calendar, get creative.
• Post /ds status in your chat to see today's selfie and take your public page live.
• Post the link to your calendar (dailyselfie.me/yourname) on your Chaturbate bio, or to social media to hype your next session.

What if I lose that URL?

With the DailySelfie app running in your chatroom, post /ds panel and it will send it to the chat in a private notice. Copy and paste that link into your browser. Or, if you can't do that, click the I lost my panel URL link on the homepage and we will email it to you, if you gave us a recovery e-mail.

What if I uninstall the app?

Doesn't matter, your app knows your unique URL regardless of installs.

What if someone sees my link?

Post /ds 911 in your room. The app makes you a brand-new link and the old one stops working immediately, so whoever saw it is locked out. Your daily selfies keep working as normal — the app quietly switches to the new link on its own, and links your viewers already have keep working for 48 hours.

Do I need the app running to edit my gallery?

No. Your panel lives on the web — open your link anytime, from any device, to upload and arrange selfies. The app only needs to be running in your room while you stream, to hand the selfies out.

Can I edit from my phone?

Yes. Your panel link works on any browser, phone or computer.

What is /ds status?

Post /ds status in your room and the app sends you a private link to today's selfie. Opening it takes your public page (dailyselfie.me/yourname) live and confirms everything is working. Until then your calendar is invisible to everyone.

Nothing seems to be happening. Where do I look?

Make sure the DailySelfie app is running in your room, then post /ds status. It sends you today's selfie link and takes your page live. Still nothing? Post /ds panel to get to your panel and check you have photos on the calendar.

Your public page and your name

What is my public link, and can I pick my name?

It's dailyselfie.me/yourname — your Chaturbate name. It goes live the first time you post /ds status. Post that link on your bio or your socials.

Someone is using my name.

The public name goes to whoever actually streams with the app in that room, so a squatter's page never goes live. If two real people ever clash on a name, write to us and we settle it by hand.

Photos and the calendar

What kind of photos can I upload?

Phone pictures are perfect; but so are photo galleries you might already have. JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 20 MB each. Nudity is allowed, as well as anything that doesn't break the law or Chaturbate's ToS.

How does the calendar work?

You place a photo on each day. Then, when you stream, the photo on that day's date is the one viewers get. Each stream is self contained, meaning: only one picture per session, everyone gets the same picture, regardless of how long you stream. Even if you are streaming for 15 hours straight. The date follows Chaturbate's clock (midnight in Los Angeles).

What if I don't stream on a day?

That day's photo goes back to your wallet, ready to be placed on another day.

What if I stream on a day with no photo assigned?

The app will still hand out links, and viewers will see “today's photo isn't ready yet”. If it happens, assign a photo to that day from your panel and the links people already have will start working immediately.

My upload stopped halfway.

Upload in batches of 20 pictures or fewer. Very large batches get cut off by the server.

What is the wallet limit?

60 pictures.

Can a viewer get more than one photo a day?

No. One selfie per viewer per day, whichever way they earn it. A second broadcast on the same day only rewards people who didn't get it in the first.

Modes

What are the modes?

You can let people have the picture for free if they stay long enough, but there are three more ways you can send these selfies: (1) to fan club members as soon as they enter your room, (2) to members who tip a fixed amount, and (3) manually to people so you can play favorites and break hearts.

Which modes are on by default?

Time is on. Fan club and Tip are off until you switch them on in the settings. Manual (/ds give) is always available.

How is time counted?

Per broadcast, for registered viewers present in your room, one minute at a time. If someone leaves and comes back later during the same broadcast, their minutes are kept. Time isn't carried over to the next broadcast. Anonymous (not logged in) viewers can't be tracked and can't receive the selfies unless they register; grey registered viewers can, and you can choose to exclude them if you want.

Does time count during privates or ticket shows?

By default, no: only while your room is public. There's a setting to change that.

Tip mode: does any tip over the amount count?

No, only a single tip for the exact amount you set, like a tip menu item. That way you keep control of what you're selling. Pick an amount you're not already using in your tip menu, or another app may react to it too.

A viewer tipped the amount twice.

The second time they get a private “you already have today's selfie” note. If they keep tipping after that, well, not the sharpest knife.

Fan club mode: what about members who were already in the room when I started?

They get it within the first minute. Members who enter later get it on entry.

What viewers see

What does a viewer receive?

A private notice only they can see, with a link like dailyselfie.me/yourname/theirname/xxxxxxxx. Links can't be clicked in Chaturbate chat; they have to copy and paste it into their browser. The page shows the photo and a link back to your room.

Is the picture shareable?

A link is tied to the viewer who earned it and stops working at the end of the following day. The picture itself is unclickable, and undraggable to discourage viewers downloading them. They do receive the picture via email if they want which makes it harder to share. The picture has a watermark, so even if someone shares it, it points back to your calendar and your room, bringing you more traffic.

When I run the app in my chatroom some messages have a pink background and others are violet, why?

Pink messages are public, everyone sees them. Violet text is private: only the person it's addressed to can see it.

Can I change the banner text?

Yes, in the settings. Leave it empty and it adapts automatically to the modes you have on.

Privacy and safety

Can I delete everything?

You don't have an account, so if you want to stop using DailySelfie simply delete all your pictures and it's like you were never here. An empty gallery that was never activated is deleted on its own after 30 days; one with pictures that was never activated lasts 90 days, to give you some wiggle room in case you change your mind.

How can I report abuse?

Send an e-mail to hello@dailyselfie.me explaining the situation, and we will do our best to fix it.
